I recently closed on a home which was listed by Rhoda and her group. In a word, Rhoda was one of the most pleasant and professional counterparties I've ever dealt with on a transaction. She was always ebullient, kept us apprised of process updates, maintained an open dialogue between me and the Seller and facilitated everything to ensure the transaction was smooth from end-to-end. The close process came and went without so much as a misstep, and this is testament to Rhoda's hard work behind the scenes in getting the infinitesimal items squared away. I purchased my home through Russo Real Estate in 1996, 25 years ago. We love it dearly, but I felt that it was being over assessed, and as a result, was being overtaxed. I am happy to pay my fair share, but I would like it to be fair. Thirteen years, ago, you provided me with comparable sales that showed that my home was, indeed over-valuated, I won my appeal, and my taxes were reduced.

A few years ago, my daughter was looking at homes in Teaneck, and I started looking at home sales and prices. In the last year or two, I started to feel, once again, that it may be time to question my assessment. Even though it has now been 25 years since we bought our home, you didn't skip a beat, but immediately started looking at comparable sales. You explained what I would need to make it worth my while, and how it should be done. You provided me with five or six home sales (the minimum required is three), explained why you chose them, and because I was under quarantine from the pandemic, you dropped them off at my house.

I submitted my appeal, and prepared a speech explaining why I chose each comp that I did. The town countered with reasons that my assessment should not be lowered, but my appeal
succeeded. Thanks to you, my assessment has been lowered and I am now saving quite a bit on my property taxes.
